Rajnikant, my family God!
He is still rocking as Shivaji- the Boss (bachelor of social service)
If you haven’t yet seen the film and don’t plan to see it in the near future, its still ok. Because when you change your mind in a couple of years- the film will still be running in some theatre, if not in India then maybe in Malaysia or Japan!
Since a longtime I have been calculating how much money ‘Talaiva’ (chief) would have saved on grooming. And the amount is something like Rs.1, 00, 45, 78,987 and still counting. As compared to the biggies of B-town, this man doesn’t have a beautician and a hair stylist working on him 24/7.
We love him inspite of the bald spots, the ‘ujala’ white hair sprouting awkwardly in some parts on the head, and the stubbles that look like the bristles of a cleaning brush. And the dark skin with a darker tan makes him the most non-plastic Superstar ever!
Grand news for all those who swear by Kamal’s acting and Ranji’s style. Aren’t they like each other’s alter ego, like Edward Norton and Brad Pitt respectively in the film ‘Fightclub’?! One is a Super Actor and the other is a Super Star! (Ok, the non-admirers can hate me for saying this!!)
After hyped speculation about the rivalry between the demi-gods of Tamil Cinema, the two are coming together for Mani Ratnam’s film. It’s going to be one magnificent film to behold! The sale of crackers and flowers will increase exponentially! I just hope no ‘fans’ off them selves if they don’t get first-day-first-show tickets. Yes, it’s happened before!
Interestingly, both have worked with Ratnam independently. Kamal Hassan in ‘Nayagan’ and Rajnikant in ‘Dalapathy’. And both the films turned out to be block-busters.
Above all, Cheers! To Mani Ratnam who has taken up this mammoth task of directing a self-seeking domineering actor along with the latest avatar of the divine being, well, for many of us, he is!
Celebration time for us fanatics! If you’ve got a problem…..Mind It!
