After home productions like Yash Raj Banners and Karan Johar’s production, even small time film makers who used to direct all the movies made under their banner are now hiring other directors to make films for them.

Says Prakash Jha, “It’s very simple logistics. I can personally make one film a year. What does my office, staff and infrastructure do the rest of the time?”

Currently Sudhir Mishra and Nana Patekar are making films for the class director.
