S Raamanathan’s Zamaanat starring Amitabh Bachchan and Arshad Warsi, which will hit cinema screens on 1 December, will be released by Yash Raj Films in Punjab and Delhi.
Glimpses Entertainment has acquired the overseas rights of the film, which will be released with 370 prints, a highest in the overseas for a Bachchan film.
“Yash Raj will release Zamaanat in Punjab and Delhi and we are also in negotiations with them for other major territories. Meanwhile, Glimpses Entertainment has acquired the overseas rights,” says Raamanathan.
Glimpses Entertainment’s Pradeep refused to divulge the number of prints that the film will be released with. However he says, “We are going to release the film in overseas but we can’t disclose the exact figure now. It will be released with a record number of prints and will be the highest in overseas for a Bachchan film.”
