Salman Khan will appear in a one-take song in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed Saawariya. The film will feature him in a very important cameo role (and not a mere ‘guest role.’)
Bhansali has made special room for his favourite actor Salman Khan, in his next venture Saawariya. Reveals a source, “The film has a song in which Salman makes his entry. Sanjay had a special reason for using the song to mark Salman’s entry in his forthcoming venture.”
The idea of having a one-take song was suggested to Bhansali by choreographer duo Pappu-Malu. In a few sittings, they were able to convince Bhansali about their plan to shoot the song in minimum takes, who immediately decided to use Salman Khan for it.
It took only two days to rehearse the song and Sallu was not even troubled for the same. Since he has a short role in the movie, Sanjay had directed the choreographers not to call the star for the rehearsals which were done before the song was shot. Says Pappu, “Salman Bhai was not called as he is a very senior actor who knows his job well. Moreover, we did not face any problem for his scene as he had to appear before the song starts.” The choreographer refused to comment on the significance of his entry in the film, saying that the information is confidential.
