When awards galore, it is time to celebrate. And who else to join in the celebrations than the Badshahs of Bollywood. GV Films’s supermo A Venkatramani with CEO Ravi descended at the JW Marriott when their first 3D show ever in the history of Indian Television, Mayavi beat many a leading channel in winning the coveted Seoul Drama Award. Seoul Drama Awards is considered to be an equivalent of the Oscar Awards for Television serials and shows worldwide.
GV Films is not just known for not just its prowess of having distributed over 600 films including the Rajnikant runaway hit Sivaji, but also owning internet titles of over 8000 Hollywood titles, DVD and cinema from Pinewood Films and an additional 6000 internet film rights under its belt
The show hero Ganesh Venkatraman stole the show.
Other stars who glittered at the function besides Venkatramani were Rituparna Sengupta, Neelima Azeem, Meghna Naidu who made white the hottest colour of the season with her backless outfit, models Mohsin Akhtar, Priyanka, bhajan remix champ DJ Vipin, Shakti Kapoor, Yash Tonk, Mukesh Rishi, renowned painter Rajat Dhar, director S Ramachandran, Balagiri and MP Gurudas Kamat who looked like twins separated at birth with their startling resemblance, Zee Cinestars winner Vishal Kaushik among others.
Other winners at the Seoul Drama Awards this year include Beijing JC & AL’s, “The Great Revival”, Fuji TV’s, “Nodame Cantabile”, KBS’s, “A Dwarf Launches a Small Ball”, Australian entry, “Mortified”, Bavaria Media GmbH’s drama, “Can” from Germany, to name a few. The nights’ acting honours went to Japanese actor, Kimura Takuya for “The Family” and Helen Mirren for her role in “Prime Suspect 7″.
