RGV’s association with T-Series has brought in an entertaining element in the storyline of Darling – a killer love story. The movie amalgamates thrilling moments with prefounding music and retro-touch of glam and drama.
The climax is a certain showstopper in Darling, which will take little to send a shiver down your spine. Not to miss, the sequence where Isha wants to make love with Fardeen, who is shivering due to the presence of dead Esha.
Prawaal Raman (of Gayab), and Kusum Punjabi’s screenplay could have been enhanced by a few cuts in the first half which uses a conventional Indianized method of characterization.
Musically, the film gets a thumbs up as it infuses a shining variety of pleasure, excitement and fear in the narration.
Actingwise, Fardeen brings in a lot of logic and innocence in his character, which demands a few repetitive expressions from Bhoot. Some may say that his expressions look repetitive, but remember fear has the same expression. Keep an open mind to absorb the beats…heartbeats!
Esha Deol is getting better by the day. The girl is mixing up a lot of glamorous roles with ones in films like Ankahee, and now Darling.Isha Koppikar gets her due credit in the latter half of the film. She looks natural. Upendra Limaye is good.
Darling posesses the magnetism to keep you hooked to your sets till the very end. Watch it for a little slice of thrill with the errie shadow of darkness!
