EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI

After a disastrous attempt at remaking Sholay, Ram Gopal Varma is here again this Friday to prove his finesse as a film maker. Earlier titled as Baby, Darling is a yet another creative output from the Factory. Darling is a horror with ripples of romance, humour and thrill spread over the colourful palette of entertainment.

The plot of Darling revolves around the three characters; Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol and Isha Koppikar. Aditya, portrayed by Fardeen Khan is happy juggling his life between his gorgeous wife Isha and equally spicy girlfriend Esha.

At home, Aditya spends his time with his conventional and traditional wife. During work, he is accompanied by his girlfriend Esha. He balances the scenario with his wit and intelligent lies.

One day, Esha comes up to Aditya to give him the shock of his life. Esha is pregnant. Esha is shattered when Aditya refuses to leave his wife. Aditya breaks all his promises made to Esha. Anger struck Esha engages in a wild and violent brawl with Aditya. Accidentally, she meets her end.

Aditya is stunned by the series of events. He somehow manages to get rid of the dead body and feels that worst is behind him. Very much like his thoughts, the worst has actually got behind him in the form of a ghost. Esha is back to avenge and settle her score.

Darling has taken a low opening all over, which quite assumingly is a result of last weeks’ release RGV Ki Aag. Darling can be called a path breaking flick, in its own dimensions as it draws little inspiration from Hollywood horrors made in the past (except for Ghost).
