Rajshri Productions has roped in Bobby Deol to play the lead role in the remake of Tapasya. According to our sources, Vidya Balan is a strong contender for the female lead.

According to a close source, “Sooraj Barjatya feels Bobby’s acting potential has not been explored and he will certainly suit the role.”

The plot of Tapasya revolves around womanhood and the ancient culture of India.
