Priyadarshan’s Dhol promises to be a youthful entertainer, with a starcast comprising of Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Tanushree Datta, Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles. After a successful chase in Bhagam Bhaag, Pritam is again composing the tunes for Dhol. Though, it is unlikely that Dhol will shake up your musical nerves with its beats.
All Night Long (Singer: Usha Uthup) Rating: 4/10
It’s been a long time since the powerful voice of Usha Uthup has experimented. This time too, the celebrity singer has nothing extraordinary to offer. The track is pacy and boasts of a western rhythm, but it does not inspire to become a raze and will be lost in the glory of loud music.
Bheega Aasman (Singer: Shaan, Vijay Yesudas) Rating: 6/10
Music composer Pritam has tapped the genre of soft rock very well in Bollywood soundtracks and this time too he uses a typical set up in Bheega Aasman, which has an energetic rhythm paced with a retro feel. The song is virtually divided into two different halves with Shaan and Vijay Yesudas leading in each part. The beauty of Bheega Aasman lies in its lyrics, penned by Irshad Kamil. On the whole, the track will attract a few praises.
Dil Liya Dil Liya (Singer: Shreya Ghoshal) Rating: 5/10
Dhin Chak Chak Dhin Dhoom is the sound of Dil Liya Dil Liya, which sounds like a item song inspired by the heat of South India. Shreya Ghoshal makes a decent attempt as a vocalist. The visuals may pump up some energy to a reasonably inactive track.
Haadsa (Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan, Akruti Kakkar) Rating: 5/10
Haadsa brings in a surpriseful rendition by the singing babes of Bollywood; Sunidhi Chauhan and Akruit Kakkar. Here too, it’s more of a westernized feel than the regular Priyadarshan style of music. The song will hot up the silverscreen, only if it’s supported by the presence of seductive beauties. Haadsa takes an unconventional approach to foot tapping music, which is good for a couple of hearings.
