Ranbir Kapoor (Ranbir was the real name of Raj Kapoor) is suave, young, sexy, charismatic, and many feel he is a fantastic actor already made. He is the son of Rishi Kapoor, who himself has ruled Bollywood for 30 years. He is the grandson of Raj Kapoor, who needs no introduction. Ranbir Kapoor is not taking the easy route into Bollywood, he is being thrown amongst the lions from the starting line. Brilliant director Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Devdas, Black) has so much faith in him that he has given him the lead in his latest flick Saawariya. This young gun must have some serious metal about him that such a perfectionist like Sanjay Leela Bhansali is directing him. That in itself tells you something about the callibre of Ranbir’s acting.
Shah Rukh Khan meanwhile is a talented actor with hits aplenty. He has proved himself and to others, and is currently brand Bollywood. No one can deny that Shah Rukh Khan is a crowd puller and ever reliable at the Box Office. Unlike the Kapoors, Shah Rukh Khan has made it in Bollywood on his acting alone, and has not had any backing at all. He has been a favourite of power-houses like Dharma Productions and Yash Raj Films, but that only because of his acting… unlike the Kapoors, Shah Rukh Khan has had no family influence in Bollywood.
Now one of the greatest Bollywood battles ever is about to take place. The Kapoors versus Shah Rukh Khan. Khans, Deols, Kumars and many others have taken on Shah Rukh Khan, and most have failed. Even the Bachchans have had it in for Shah Rukh Khan… they too have been tripped many times… but do they listen? No they don’t. Does anyone listen?
Come this Diwali the final test to prove Shah Rukh Khan’s pulling power will be tested… Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s daughter, Salman Khan and Rani Mukherji will all gear up to take on Shah Rukh Khan. SRK cannot be dislodged from his no. 1 slot… not in a gud 5 yrs to come. OSO luks nice but i guess Saawariya will do well… really well n better than OSO bcoz of S.L. Bhansali… ppl r alreay gaga over dat trailer …Farah Khan wont b able to match up to Bhansali.. its not Ranbir v/s SRK.. its more like d Bhansali v/s Farah Khan… which is virtually a no comparison… Saawariya works for me… but let’s see.. can nvr underestimate d power of the King! You can’t compare SRK and Ranbir Kapoor. SRK has made it on his own and Ranbir is following his family path(acting).
SRK had no one in industry when he entered the industry, while Ranbir is here since his great-grandparents.
Although, there are huge expectations from both films, but at the end of the day it will be the contents of the film, which will decide the fate.
Secondly, Om Shanti Om and Saawariya are films of completely different genre.
So it won’t make much difference on these films fate, if these films are released on same date.
as its been proven many times that who wins the battle in the end so i dont think there is even a question about this one ofcourse shahrukh will take the crowd and blow sanwariya off as it was made no doubt may be the young actor has got something in it but people are not in a mood to test someone new and spoil their time judgin them out and its not 2000 when hritik can oull over with a flossy movie like kaho na pyar hai instead of mohabbatein this is 2007 and now is the time if perfectionist going over from chak de india to gandhi my father its time of rang de basanti and even khosla ka ghosla if kaho na pyar comes now i hope all of you know it would be a big disaster so commenting on these issues will be a little difficult even i am not a big fan of SRK but this comment pulled me outto comment on and here they are…. kapoors may lead for next 100 years by their roots and references in the cinema who won in the end is the KHANS… may it be the king or the perfectionist so people go out for OSO and than may be for RGV ki AAG
Sawariya will be the best. SRK should sensibly move his movie to another date. The Promos of OSO look pale and rubbish.

INDIA is also becoming a success in the Overseas though not as big as the usual Shah Rukh Khan song-and-dance and Raj/Rahul ventures!

Sanjay Lila Bhansali is a good director. no doubdt about it. Ranbir may also turn out to be a good actor. But Shahrukh is Shahrukh. No body can beat him. I have seen, so may actors trying to pull him down – Hritik, Abhishek, Akshay, Amir and even Amitabh Bachhan. But all of them have failed miserably. The reason why SRK is most successful is – his honesty, his truthfulness, his trust towards his friends, his hard workship and above all his simplicity. Othrwise, with his ordinary looks, average height, no godfather in the beginning, normal voice no other actor could even think of stardom.
