Question: Tony, what are the indications for Aaja Nachle and Madhuri Dixit?

Answer: Thank you for your question Aneela. Indications for this Madhuri Dixit comeback film are all well. But, with the constant failures from the big house YashRaj, Madhuri will surely be a little worried. Tara Rum Pum and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom have both proved be disasters, and even Chak De India has suffered heavily in the UK and USA. So now Madhuri will indeed be a little wary of what might happen once her movie releases. I expect the movie to do really well in India, but overseas it will bomb. I mean YashRaj have had three high class flops and even Shah Rukh Khan has been unable to reverse the current tide. What hope has Madhuri got? The Madhuri Dixit film doesn’t have a major actor and the whole film rests on Madhuri’s shoulders. Once again, I predict a good opening and good business in India for Aaja Nachle, but in the UK and USA it will disappoint big time.

Madhuri’s old fans will turn out for sentimental reasons, but the movie will flop overseas, as you say. There is no reason to expect a decent script or even good music from Yash Raj curio shop anymore.
I admit, the offerings coming from the Yash Raj production house certainly leave a ‘negative feeling’ over the forth coming releases – but you never know, the tides could turn. The films needs to be seen individually and their plus points and minuses should be looked at pertaining to each film – we should not generalize the films under ‘Yash Raj Films’ – each film is different. It remains to be seen as to whether Madhuri’s film will do well or not, but I feel that it will fair well internationally. Madhuri is a renowned star and her presence will certainly secure first week box office collections. It’s longevity is unknown, but we can certainly look forward to good dancing and a solid peformance from the Queen.
How can you predict something? Really!!
Its important to be positive and wish Madhuri Dixit all the best for making a comeback. It doesnt concern anyone who doesnt like Madhuri, but one cannot ignore that she is the true bollywood queen and she is back to reign once again the crown that no one has been able to claim since she left.
Kudos to Madhuri for coming back for her fans! Her fans wont disappoint her.
I personally think that the movie will do well. The promos have been very well received all over. The movie seems to be fun-filled, perfect to be released around Diwali. Also, Koffee with Karan – Madhuri Dixit episode received crazy ratings from viewers. She has done Dil to Pagal Hai with Yash Raj before and that was a hit. I think people have missed Madhuri Dixit and are awaiting Aaja Nachle eagerly.
Madhuri Dixit is a phenomenon actress a great dancer and a well disciplined actress who has won many film awards….Bearing in mind nobody has watched the movie as yet, how can one under estimate whether the movie will be a flop or not there is a massive competition and wow, she is competing with great young actresses and actors in which i have not seen anyone doing that soo far ! People adore her in U.K I’ve seen the promo, she looks stunning ! She’s a legend, she doesn’t think that way, as an actress she doesn’t care whether the movie will be a flop or a hit as long as she has given her 100% anyone would love to see their pictures a big hit, i mean she is based in U.S,her movies have always been doing good internationally, it is her to know and the audiences to find out…..she will always be a queen bee and a legend. According to me the film has bright prospects….
1. It stars MADHURI (But obvious!)
2. The producers are YRF. They will make sure of the grand publicity. (they are pretty successful with their promos atleast)
3. Director Anil Mehta is a veteran National Award winner Director Of Photography in bollywood who has worked under great directors like Yash Chopra, Raj Kumar Santoshi, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Subhash Ghai & Sanjay Leela Bhansali. So he should have some level of directorial creativity and sensitivity gained from so many years of experience. So we have all the reasons to believe him in his talent.
4. Jaideep sahani wrote the film. The same guy who wrote original scripts like Chak De India , Khosla Ka Ghosla , Bunty Aur Babli , Company & Jungle
5. It also has a talented crew like Konkana Sen Sharma, Akshaye Khanna , Kunal Kapoor & Divya Dutta.
6. Salim Sulaiman gave the music & also background score. Remember them in Dhoom, Dhoom 2, Dor, Kaal, Iqbal, Salaam Namste & Bhoot etc? (on a most irrelevant note they also gave music to Koffe With Karan )
7. The main cinematography will be handled by Mohanan who did Don, Samay and Lagaan.
8. The choreographer is National Film Award winner Vaibhavi Merchant (remember her Dhol Baaje and Kajra re!)
9. November release means the season of Diwali and holidays!
10. As per law of averaging of any business, as the first half of 2007 isnt much exciting for films (till now), big films like sawariya, Aaja nachle and Jodha Akbar will fullfil the gap.

well, the so called prediction failed, because Aja nachle did very good in UK, and of course despite the very bad review and the fiasco ove a line in the song, it ended up becoming an average.
Madhuri is the best
well chakde suffered heavily in UK and US while AN was a hit is UK and average in US,
