Ekta got blowed up when she heard that Smriti had met her mother Mrs Shobha Kapoor and said she didn’t want Balaji to produce her serial Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasmaan.

It was Ekta who got channel Sony’s approval since they had refused to take Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasmaan without Ekta’s backing.

Then Smriti threatened to quit KSBKBT and Ekta made it clear that this arm-twisting won’t work. Thereby, Smriti stayed on but the differences grew on.
