Leading Indian actor and icon Amitabh Bachchan shared his favourite recipe at the launch of the book ‘Recipes for Success’ by Aarti Kochhar at CROSSWORD
The proceeds of the book to go to “Salaam Baalak” – an NGO for the less privileged children
Mumbai, August 5, 2007: Author Aarti Kochhar offered customers an insight into the culinary tastes of various well-known personalities at the launch of her book “Recipes for Success – The Food & Vision of India’s Achievers” at Crossword (Kemps Corner).
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan graced the occasion and launched the book. The book is a compilation of the recipes of the favourite dishes of various achievers including Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani, N R Narayana Murty, K V Kamath, Kapil Dev, Kiran Bedi, and others.
The book also covers the vision of these personalities for their respective business & for India, and also their message to the Youth of India. Aarti Kochhar has created in this book, a very rare combination of culinary interest as well as the serious vision of achievers from various walks of life.
Aarti Kochhar plans to donate the proceeds of the book” Recipes for Success “to the NGO “Salaam Baalak” which works for less privileged children. The project aims to rehabilitate Street children from Mumbai to their original hometown in Solapur.
These children, who are currently spending their time on the streets of Mumbai will be rehabilitated to their home town and will be provided education and sustenance facilities.
