Bhushan Kumar of T-series has brought the rights of Subhash Ghai’s musical extravaganza ‘Karz’. Reportedly, the remake will star Himesh Reshammiya, who will portray the role earlier played by Rishi Kapoor in the classic.
Infact, Subhash Ghai himself was approached to direct the remake, but he refused saying that ,”How can I remake my own films? Also today Hindi cinema is full of new ideas and concepts and is futuristic. But I’m sure Karz will be welcomed by the new generation and its treatment will be fresh. I wish Himesh and Bhushan Kumar much luck.”
The film is currently in its initial stages with the director yet to be finalised.
