EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Dard Apna Likh Na Payee (Singer: Jagjit Singh)
Rating: 6/10
Kahaani Gudiya Ki begins the proceedings with a ghazal sung by the maestro singer Jagjit Singh. Jagjit Singh is at his usual best as he lends his voice to the track. The music is soft and subtle, with lyrics describing the state of the female in pain.

Dua Qabool Karo (Singer:Habib Sabri)
Rating: 3/10
After a series of songs heard on the lines of ‘Dua Qabool Karo Iss Gareeb Ki Maula’, it tends to carry an overheard feel with it. Habib Sabri’s voice blends with the mood of the track but lacks the punch to make it to the chartbusters. Musically, Dua Qabool can be avoided.

Jis Rut Mein Chudiyaan (Singer: Sadhana Sargam)
Rating: 3/10
Chirpy Sadhana Sargam comes in to croon the only solo song sung by a female voice for the soundtrack. The track depicts a celebration mood and represents the songs made in the 90s. Music director Vivek Prakash needed to arrange a better musical score to cater the audiences for the day. Quite forgettable!

I strongly disagree. Has Mr. Hanumant Bhansali seen the movie and knows what the director demanded and what the situations in the movie demand, before imposing his ideas to this world ? Is he a learned or musically trained person who understands music for it’s criticism ? Does he know what is the background of the story n what religion are the charecters depicted ? I feel that Kahani Gudiya Ki’s music is a refreshing change with sensible lyrics and soothing music in today’s system of nonsense lyrics comprising even foul words and ear jarring film music which people are feeded with. Moreover a singer can never be at his best unless ably guided by the music director who visualises, encapsulates and designs the whole song.
I think the music of the movie is outstanding. Jagjit Singh is at his best and Vivek Prakasn has done a fabulous job by creating such a refreshing music. Congratulations Mr Prabhakar for choosing such a bold subject to make a movie. We rarely have real life stories being brought to the audience in the form of movies these days. Well done.
