Directors Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Mahesh Bhatt planning to make a film on Lahore’s ‘Heera Mandi’, but with differing viewpoints. Bhansali has already bought the rights of Mayank Austen Soofi’s ‘A Sudden Visit to Pakistan: Heera Mandi the Dream Home of The Whores’ and Mahesh Bhatt too is to make a film on Fauzia Saeed’s book titled, ‘Taboo’. Mahesh Bhatt’s film will be in collaboration with Sohail Khan and the movie is to be shot in Lahore. On the contrary Bhansali’s film is rumored to have nine leading actresses and seven top male stars. The budget for the film has been pegged at an expensive Rs. 75 crore.
