EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI

After watching the classic Naya Daur and equally compelling Gandhi My Father, I headed to watch the last release of the day, Cash. To me, the film seemed quite promising as I was expecting a slick action entertainer. Forget entertainment, I was sulking throughout the film.

For me the film failed to work, it is not the one you should put your ‘Cash’ on.

Set in the eye filling locales of South Africa, Cash is a game of Chor-Police. Ajay, who is a top drawer conman, who can hide his profession even from the woman he lives with. Ajay’s current assignment is to rob a convoy that is headed for the airport. He does not know about the diamonds in them.

Ajay gets the needed support from Ritesh, Zayed, Esha and Dia. Ajay gets the job done cleverly from both of them. Standing in front of these hunks is the underworld don, played by Suniel Shetty and the Head of Security, played by Shamita Shetty.

The rest of the mystery deals with the three heroes who fight their ways out of the surrounding troubles to make a cool cash out of the diamonds.

Technically speaking, most of the recent Hindi films with stars studded in them have failed to deliver. The story is too rigid and falls prey to Bollywood ishtyle of adding craky gimmicks.
