EXCLUSIVE MOVIE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Relive the experience of the musical classic Naya Daur, directed and produced by B.R. Chopra. Naya Daur, a story which was refused by the top notch directors of that era went to become a superhit of all times.
Naya Daur is remembered for its melodious songs and the heart warming chemistry of Dilip Kumar and Vyjayantimala that struck the strings with the whole nation. The colour and the sound technology work like magic to enhance the magnetic aura associated with the film.
Likewise, the production team of Chopras will not be affected by the collection of the re release as the film has quite successfully managed to draw the crowds on the first day, thanks to the multiplex business.
The story is one of its kind, and the power of a crisp narration is there to be seen in Naya Daur. Shankar (Dilip Kumar) earns his living by driving a horse carriage. The honest man lives with his mother and sister in a distant village in rural India.
The story unfolds into a situation wherein Shankar is the lone saviour of the horse-carriage drivers, who are on the threshold of losing their jobs. The climax is outstanding as the camera captures the race between Dilip’s tonga and bus.
