Last night as PIX and Ashok Amritraj announced the launch of ‘Gateway’, India’s first reality TV show on filmmaking with a lavish bash at Indigo, Colaba. Many celebrities showed up to support the opportunity of presenting Indian directorial talent internationally.
Present at the party were celebrities like Aarti and Kailash Surendranath who have already had production experience with the Hollywood cast and crew of ‘A Mighty Heart’. Lilette Dubey who has had exposure in crossover cinema also endorsed that Indian talent has great potential but needs to get tapped correctly and what better way than a stint with Hyde Park Entertainment.
Also seen enjoying the party were the glitterati of Mumbai including Tara Sharma, Hansikaa Motwani, Roza, Gulshan Grover, Dilip Tahil, Milind Soman, Dolly Thakore, Lars and Suchitra Pillai, Sona Makhija, Rajeev Samant of Sula wines, Kunal Das Gupta, Sunil Lulla, Manmohan Shetty, Mandira Bedi, Kamal Sidhu, Gauhar Khan, Anaida, Priya Kataria, Anu Malik and Anish Trivedi.
‘Gateway’ will be PIX’s maiden local production of a television series that will air exclusively on the channel. Starring Ashok Amritraj, ‘Gateway’ will cover an intensive nationwide search for India’s most promising new director. The winner will be given the chance to direct a Hollywood film produced by Amritraj’s company, Hyde Park Entertainment.
