He may be a popular Bollywood filmstar, but actor Sanjay Dutt is getting no special treatment from the authorities of the Arthur Road Jail.
Dutt was sent to jail after being sentenced to 6-year imprisonment by special TADA court on Tuesday. There, he was first locked up in Barrack No. 10, but was later shifted to Barrack No. 1 for security reasons.
On Tuesday evening, Dutt was given just a blanket for the night. He wasn’t given any bedsheet or pillow. Nor was he provided with any mosquito repellant.
The only luxury Dutt has been allowed on special request is toiletries.
Dutt was reportedly allowed to use his personal toilet kit consisting of his favourite London’s premium brand Molten Brown toiletries like mouthwash, hair-wash, and soap. Dutt has also been allowed his personal toothbrush and towel.
However, Dutt will have to share his toilet and bathroom with eight other inmates.
According to jail officials, Dutt had a mild breakfast of tea, biscuits and bread on Wednesday morning. In lunch he had the jail food comprising of brinjal subzi, dal and roti. The dinner was the same as the lunch.
Dutt will remain in Arthur road jail till August 2, after which he may or may not be shifted to another prison.
