K5 is hard hitting tale describing the journey of a woman on her way back home after a series of traumatic incidents with a terrorist. The film has been directed by Shivaji Patil and the cast includes Ashok Samarth, Tejaswini, Mukesh Tiwari and Vinay Apte in pivotal roles.
Juli Mankar (Tejaswini) alongwith her husband have come to Mumbai for some diagnosis. They are put up in a VIP area. The whole of Mumbai is engulfed by the riots caused due to the demolition of Babri Masjid.
The city calms only in the morning and evening. Unfortunately, one day the couple enter into a sensitive area while returning from the hospital. Here, they become a victim of the religious extremists. They are held captive by this group, which is lead by Rehmat Khan (Mukesh Tiwari), an ISI agent.
The couple goes through a painful saga of torture. Rehmat Khan takes Juli with him as his gate pass to Pakistan, leaving her husband behind.
The girl is then ditched in the dry sands of Rajasthan, on the Indo-Pak border. Distressed Juli then meets K5 (Ashok Samarth). K5 is a Kobra Commando from the BSF. He is handled with the responsibility of returning the girl back to her relatives.
A journey, full of problems and emotional out bursts is awaiting the two strangers.
