Shyam Benegal will begin work on his next film temporarily titled Mahadeva, with Shreyas Talpade and Amrita Rao, sometime in September this year.

This film is based on the letter writers in village post offices and their importance in the rural scenario.

Everything has been finalized – the actors have verbally given the confirmation and only have to sign the contracts.
