Yes, he is a busy bee. Sanjay Gupta is equipped with whopping amount of works these days. He is busy signing new young talented directors for his upcoming projects under his new production house. The work has already started as he has signed Aanand L Rai, a reputed television director who has now entered in Bollywood arena. Having already made his debut film, ‘Strangers’, produced by Raj Kundra, a London based producer, Aanand Rai has been signed for a new project with Sanjay Gupta, whose details are yet to be disclosed.
Who is in his debut release..? Well, the names are Jimmy Shergill, KK Menon, Nandana Sen and Sonali Kulkarni. The film is a love story with a thriller set in its backdrop. The film was also recently nominated in a competition category in the Osian Film Festival, Delhi for best film and best director. He has directed the TV shows like ‘Gardish’ on ZEE TV starring Irfan Khan, ‘Kshitij’, a political drama on Sahara One, a telefilm called One Night Stand on Star One and recently Bombay Talkies for UTV on Zee Café. With Sanjay Gupta, this is Aanand Rai’s first film venture in Bollywood.
