Mahalakshmi is quite candid to admit that singing for big banners and known music directors helps boost a singer’s career to a great extent.

Mahalakshmi says, “You may have the most divine voice and may have recorded the most rocking numbers, but if nobody hears them just because they were included in some dismal film, the effort is down the drain.”

“I have been fortunate to have begun on the right note, and have been at the right place at the right time,” she admits.
