BAGGIT STORE OPENS IN BANDRA
Nina Lekhi, the owner of Baggit is all enthusiastic about launching their own exclusive outlet at Linking Road Bandra. Actress Sonali Kulkarni is going to make this occasion special by inaugurating the store…
A brand that began 22 years ago, Baggit today caters to a large segment of women from college going teenagers to professionals to formal social engagements. The amount of thoughtful detailing that goes into a Baggit design is what makes the customers come back for more.
Says Nina, “our pockets, zips and compartments are so much more thoughtful. The bling is far lesser and the colours are very fashionable. Several people also identify with the brand as we do not use leather. We don’t believe that killing animals is a fashion requirement.”
Maybe one of the reason’s actress Sonali Kulkarni identifies herself with the brand is the no leather tag.
Talking about future plans…
From made in China to made in India
Nina believes that rural development would be an important focus area for Baggit going forward. Ethical entrepreneurship is anyway the need of the hour and what better way to do it than look at making a manufacturing base in our villages and creating economic townships. She’s growing at a hectic pace adding stores in Bangalore/Delhi/Mumbai.
