Films like Apaharan, Hattrick and Yatra showed Nana Patekar in differtent shades other than his screaming and shouting at rapid fire speed.
During the making of Apaharan, Patekar had bonded well with Prakash Jha and even after the film was released their friendship continued, so much so that Prakash Jha offered Nana a film to direct.
This will be Nana’s second directorial film. He had made his debut as a director with Sudhakar Bokade’s Prahaar (1991) which had Dimple Kapadia, Madhuri Dixit and Nana had played Major Chauhan.
