Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions presents a thrilling adventure- Kurbaan starring Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Dia Mirza. The movie is directed by debutante Rensil D’Silva and the music has been composed by the talented duo Salim-Sulaiman Merchant (of Fashion, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi fame).
The story revolves around Avantika (Kareena Kapoor) – a New York returned lady, now teaching in Delhi University. Here Avantika comes across a temporary professor Ehsaan Khan (Saif Ali Khan) and falls in love with her.
A few months later Avantika gets a call from New York University to return for her Fall Semester. Soon Avantika and Ehsaan get married and shift to New York in an Indian neighbourhood. While new to the society, their neighbours Hamid and Anjum invite them for dinner.
The next morning Salma, the women that Avantika had met at dinner, visits Avantika for giving sweets. When Avantika invites her in Salma tells her that she is in grave danger. Thus follows a series of life threatening events and Avantika soon realizes of being used as a pawn in thse events.
