‘KBC’ future bleak in IndiaIt may come as a surprise but ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’s’ future in India looks bleak after most of the big TV channels snubbed the offer to buy the format.
The once hugely popular show hosted by the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan may not get another run in India after STAR Plus dropped the show.
The Indian version inspired by the British show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ ran for three years on STAR Plus and while producer Siddharth Basu is gearing up for the fourth series, he has not had much luck.
According to Buzz18, major TV channels like Colors, Sony Entertainment Television Asia and ZEE TV are not interested in STAR Plus’ leftover. The show is apparently no more profitable for the channel.
Not only that, neither Bachchan nor Shah Rukh will be hosting the show. Sources say that Bachchan is happy hosting ‘Bigg Boss 3′ on Colors instead.
