At home, bringing the three Deols is considered big news. But overseas, it’s Shilpa Shetty who gave ‘Apne’ that extra spin.

Inspired by the all-out international publicity being given to the other Shilpa starrer ‘Life in a…Metro’, the producers of ‘Apne’ planned a huge Shilpa-centric release abroad.

According to our sources, “Normally, Sunny’s films are very strong in north India and rather weak overseas. Thanks to Shilpa and Anil Sharma, who is now out of the lean patch.”
