After qualifying as the most popular Indian in Britain, actress Shilpa Shetty will now be awarded a honorary doctorate by the Leeds Metropolitan University on Wednesday.
The news was broken out by Shilpa Shetty’s spokesperson who said, “The honorary doctorate is in recognition of Shilpa’s outstanding contribution to cultural diversity and good relations between the peoples of the United Kingdom and India. It’s a proud moment for all of us.”
Shilpa becomes the fifth Indian after Amitabh Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Yash Chopra and Praful Patel to be credited with honorary degree.
