Regular moviegoer Mansi recalls her experience. She says, “Sometime ago, I used to get scared of the very mention of spirits. It were my friends who took me to a horror flick. It worked in my case and now I am not scared of watching a ghost film. I also catch a ghost film occasionally.”
Likewise, we all know that not everyone will relate to the story of Mansi. Everyone has some experience to narrate with the unknown power. Some believe in God and some do not. Take my word; it is okay not to believe in the existence of God but always believe in the existence of the evil.
Presence of an unknown entity is at times felt after watching a horror flick. As businessman Rajeev says, “After watching a horror film, I imagine about them and feel their presence around me. This process continues for a few days.” The mystery remains as to what influence does a horror film leaves on the minds of a viewer.
Filmmakers like Ramsay Brothers and Ram Gopal Varma have continued to bring the fantasy of undying spirits in front of the camera with their horrifying ventures. Imagine the state of mind of the writers who drill themselves to give you the ‘chill down your spines’.
Ram Gopal Varma has earlier presented the thrill of the unnatural being through his films like Bhoot, Darna Mana Hai, Darna Zaroori Hai and Vaastusastra. And now, he is coming up with Darling and Darna Maangta Hai. Quite a handful of thrills in store for the viewers! Handle them with care…
