As part of Hrithik Roshan’s Rs. 35 crore deal with Adlabs, rumours are that the star will be playing action here Aryan, in a movie by the same name. Now thats not all; the movie will be directed by Ram Gopal Verma.
This is hard to believe I admit that, but it is rumour that has been reported in the Indian press, and my sources state that it is 95% true. As soon as Hrithik finishes shooting for Jodhaa Akbar, he will decide on wether or not to act in this film. Adlabs have given him two options to choose from, Aryan to be directed by Ram Gopal Verma, or a love story by Shikhar director John Matthan. Whichever film he goes for, he will begin preparing for it in August.
In Aryan, Hrithik Roshan will play a soldier with enhanced abilities, a cross between Robocop and Universal Soldier. After an accident, an Indian Army officer’s body is sold to the Americans. They install state of the art limbs and futuristic micro-chips, which turn this humble man into a fighting machine. Aryan is deployed in Afghanistan to locate and terminate hidden Talebans. However, things don’t go to plan, as Aryan begins to remember thoughts of his previous life and is unable to finish of his assignment. This prompts the Americans to send in another futuristic-soldier to terminate the now rouge agent.
It looks like a good story, but will it appeal to the Indian audience? What are your thoughts? Leave your replies in the comments section below.
Hope they don’t try to copy Robocop..!!! That would be Pathetic.
