EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Is the Yash Chopra camp out of concepts? Something is certainly not going right in their favour with what we have observed in films like Aaja Nachle, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag in 2007 and now Tashan in 2008.
Tashan has blackmarked the comeback of superhit duo Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in an action flick after a very long time. The film has nothing in particular except for a never ending storyline. The best part about the movie is its magnetic title – Tashan…No Jashan this time.
Bhaiyyaji (Anil Kapoor) is a stylish gangster who is ruling the city of Mumbai. His niche to converse in English finds Jimmy (Saif Ali Khan) to execute the task of teaching the fundas of the language to the don.
Now, Miss Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) who is Bhaiyyaji’s helper dupes her master of 25 crores rupees. And, look who has helped her – Jimmy. Bhaiyyaji entitles Bachchan Pande (Akshay Kumar) to get back the money and the traitors. However, one man Jimmy bows down, leaving Pooja on her spree.
