Music Review: Kambakht Ishq
Producer: Sajid Nadiadwala
Music Director: Annu Malek
Lyricists: RDB, Anvita Dutt Guptan and Sabbir Khan
Singers: RDB, Neeraj Shridhar, Alisha Chinai, KK, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan and Shreya Ghosal
Sajid Nadiadwala’s production, ‘Kambakht Ishq’ is what has been churning out huge news since the outset. The movie has been grabbing the headlines from the day it went on floors. The film appears to be very important for Akshay Kumar, as he has been facing flops since the beginning of this year. The movie has already become worthy due to the presence of Hollywood stars. The likes of Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards have acted in this flick along with the leading stars from Bollywood – Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor.. The music has hit the stands now and is the composition of Anu Malik.
1): Bebo (Alisha Chinoy)
The soundtrack opens up with ‘Bebo’ that is sung by the marvelous sultry voice singer Alisha Chinoy, who whenever comes behind the mike, does wonders. Check out her blockbuster songs like ‘Kaj Ra Re’ and ‘It’s Rocking’. She is always fabulous with the vocals. She does brilliant with this track also but the lyrics spoil the mood. Anu Malik’s music is good with fast paced tempo and high beats.
Rating: 6.5/10
2): Bebo (Alisha Chinoy) – Remix
The remix version entices the souls but cannot be claimed extra ordinary.
Rating: 6/10
3): Kambakht Ishq (KK and Sunidhi Chauhan)
The title track is crooned by the duo of KK and Sunidhi Chauhan. Both inject true pleasures in the ambience of the number. But they too are letdown by the poor lyrical job like the previous track. As far as Anu Malik is concerned, yes, he does the task with finesse.
Rating: 6.5/10
4): Kambakht Ishq (KK and Sunidhi Chauhan) – Remix
The remix version ooze out next letting you enjoy with it. But you can have pleasures with it only for once. The repeat button will not be pressed by you once it stops playing for the first time.
Rating: 6/10
5): Kyun (Shaan and Shreya Goshal)
Follows next is a slow paced number, ‘Kyun’ trilled by the duo of Shaan and Shreya Goshal. Shaan looks superb as usual and Shreya presents spongy vocals with aplomb. The lyrics, this time around, feel good. The music is a treat to be with. Go for it time and again.
Rating: 8.5/10
6): Kyun (Shreya Goshal)
The female version is sung by Shreya Goshal and attracts your souls the moment it starts playing.
Rating: 8/10
7): Lakh Lakh (Neeraj Shridhar)
The Punjabi song is warbled by Neeraj Shridhar, who does fine with the rendition. The lyrics appeal so does the music.
Rating: 7.5/10
8): Lakh Lakh (Neeraj Shridhar) – Remix
The remix has potential to go well.
Rating: 7/10
9): Om Mangalam (RDB)
Composed and sung by RDB, the song is hip-hop. It will be a chartbuster for sure since it has super vocals and classy music.
Rating: 8.5/10
10): Om Mangalam (RDB) (Reprised)
The remix version winds up the album and leaves you mesmerized.
Rating: 8/10
Conclusion:
Overall, the album is good and is potentially melodious to stay with the listeners.
Overall Rating: 7/10
