The Bollywood night-sky failed to get lit up with the greatest of fireworks. Mr. Shah Rukh Khan (this year’s Diwali grand firework) got fused on earth and burnt away.
This brings new meaning to the phrase “Don ke dushman ki sabse barri galti yeh hai ke who Don ka dushman hai” – “Shah Rukh Khan ki sabse barri galti yeh hai ke woh Don hai”.
The intense over the top promotion finally nailed this Don. The following term was what killed the Don in the end: “Don ko pakarana mushkil hi nahin namumkin hai” – meaning no one wanted to catch the Don in the cinemas…
What went wrong with the Don? Was it the story, was it the expectations, was it over the top direction? What was it exactly that kept the audience away from the cinema?

I have been reading some of your articles and I dont know why you have been so biased and negative on reviews and Box Office reports of Don. I have read reports from other top sites that Don has been doing great business while Jane-mann has not been at par. So why do you guys continue this unjustified bashing and false reporting. Most of your articles are copmplete speculations and not facts yet you try to pass them on as facts and popular opinion which they are obviously not. Maybe it is because you are threatened by the fact Amitabh Bachan while still an icon doesnt really sell at the Box Office anymore and Don which is a remake is doing good business. I don’t know what it is but you as a site should have a little more dignity than that

SRK’s don is a great movie, and srk did gr8 performance in this role, he is a super star thats why public 1st choice is don, i know that ,don is remake, same story but people love srk , he is today’s super star,don doing gr8 business in india,us uk and other countries.so don’t worry guys DON will be hit..

The reason why not so many people didnt go to the cinema was that Don released during Ramaadhan and just before Eid. I am the biggest fan of Shah Rukh Khan and always go to the cinema on the day the movie releases. This year i couldnt go because of Ramadhan. Many muslims watch Indian movies however this movie was released on a bad day. Please next time dont release a movie before Eid or when we are fasting

And as we all already know, Shah Rukh Khan is the best actor in the universe. 1) Farhan akhtar and SRK were honest enough to admit that DON is not original but inpsired from the old DON….yet people criticize him. Sarkar was so similar to dharmatma…but was it even mentioned once? KOI MIL GAYA AND KRISSH were products of so many hollywood movies put together in a blender…but was it even mentioned once?
2) SRK does same roles again and again…so when he goes and gives a superb performance in DON…still those so called critics of lesser knowledge (as said by SRK himself) still find newer stuff to pan him.
3) Ive seen DON twice and not one person left mid way. INfact all were glued to the screen completely.

The film is actually a bigger hit than the previous Don(1978) at the box office.
THE WORD I WOULD USE IS SUPERHIT with over 150 million rupees business in one week from India alone.That is just 10 million short of the money collected by KANK and Krrish but they had open weeks.
The only word to describe Don at the box office is EXTRAORDINARY.
Hit in first week next will bring in another 50-60 million and that means Superhit.
Bakwas, Ghatya, aik dum Chutyapay wala remake(cheat) hai. While JAAN-E-MANN is a very beautiful, sensitive, touchy and family movie. I have seen Jaan-e-man 10 times and still want to see it more.
hi all fans. i was reading through your comments, and it seems to me most of you havent seen don. After watching the movie it is evident that it is a let down, it is similar to Arjuns Asambhav. The film has started decent, however from day 1 has fallen dramatically. On the other hand the response to jaaneman has increased greatly.
Therefore this site has correct nformation of the few days of business and don is certainly a below average film.
A film opening at 85% doesnt mean its a super hit!!!!!
