Director Manish Goel’s Hum Phir Milenge is finally out in theaters featuring Sarvar Ahuja, Kkhushi, Vikram Gokhale, Kiran Kumar, Smita Jaykar and Riya Sen in special appearnce. Legendary TV and film artist Tabassum Ji’s grand daughter and famous film and TV star Hoshang Govil’s daughter Kkushi debuts with this flick.
Sarvar is a fun loving guy who lives in a hill station and spends his time with his friends. When he and Kkhushi first bump into each other, it was not a pleasant encounter as both bang each other’s cars. But gradually the friendship’s flower emerges between the two. Sarvar soon develops love for the soft spoken Kkhushi. But the moment, Kkhushi begins her love feelings for him, she is timely cautioned by her best pal who reminds her of her orthodox family and her impending arranged marriage back in Delhi. The moment, Sarwar starts to express his feelings to her, he finds something a miss in her behavior. But when he succeeds in exprtessing his love to her, she cannot stop herself telling the truth to him as to what is stopping her for loving him. When she is leaving back for Delhi, she gives him a glimmer of hope by agreeing upon taking a chance with destiny to see if they are really meant for each other. Kkhushi writes her address on a Rs. 100 note and then drops it into a donation box and then tells Sarvar that if he finds this note again and at that time the adress would be there on it then he can come to that address and then they both can take their love ahead.. How Sarvar reaches to Delhi and succeeds in finding the note again and what is in store for them and when he reaches at her home what happens there is what forms the rest of the story.
It’s a simple story but has been masterly presented on the celluloid. Debutante director Manish Goel has delivered the job with finese.. The romantic saga attarcts to hearts. The story looks great. The screenplay has been dashed off with aplomb. Sandesh Shandilya’s music is spongy and injects the pleasures in hearts. Mein Ro Na Padu and Tere Dar Ke Sivah are the picks of the lot. Cinemotography is a work of art. The locales are heart-arresting.
Debutante Kkhushi has proved that she belongs to that family that is known for talents of acting. Her grand mother Tabassum Ji is a legendary actress and her father Hoshang Govil is the one who is ruling over the small screen presently with his marvelous acting. Kkhushi delivers the goods with much ease and conviction. Her facial expressions steal the show. The innocence on her face fits to the character offered to her. In short, she slips into the role with dexterity. She has potential to be a challenge for the biggies of the trade. Sarvar Ahuja is great to watch. He impresses a lot with his skills of acting. Vikram Gokhale and Kiran Kumar do the jobs wonderfully. Rest of the cast fist the bill also.
On the whole, ‘Hum Phir Milenge’ is potentially a good film and a family entertainer.
