This Pradeep Sarkar film from Yash Raj has Jaya Bachchan along with Abhishek. Not much is known about the storyline apart from Rani Mukherjee and Konkona Sen Sharma playing two sisters and Jaya their mother.
Abhishek has a brief role in the film. Earlier, Vidya Balan was offered to play the role of Rani Mukherjee’s siter in the film. This role is now being portrayed by Konkana Sen Sharma. Vidya could not work with Pradeep Sarkar in LCMD due to her prior commitments with Sajid Khan’s Heyy Babyy.
The film is being shot exclusively in India in the locales of Benaras, Varanasi etc. The concept of the film has been conceived and plotted by Pradeep Sarkar.
