EXCLUSIVE MUSIC REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Raj Pendurkar directed Bombay To Goa boasts of a fun element in each of its promos and the same resembles in its soundtrack too. Musically, the sound of Bombay To Goa will appeal to the front benchers and add to fun filled narration of the film.
Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bombay To Goa was musically rich with its song ‘Dekha Naa Haye Re Socha Naa Haye Re’ which is even played today with equal galore. Our new version of Bombay to Goa does not manage to come even half close to it but yes, there is something for the masses in it.
Bombay To Goa (Singer: Bappi Lahiri)
Rating: 5.5/10
Bappi Lahiri starts the proceedings with a high note in the title track. The song is a cool number which has groovy beats playing in the backdrop. Bappi Lahiri does a good job to make the track colourful with his voice. On the whole, hear it twice and say ‘Nice Nice!’

Bombay To Goa (Singer: Shehla Burney)
Rating: 3/10
There is another version of the title track sung by a new female vocalist Shehla Burney. The track loses out on the entertainment factor which was clearly audible in the tone of Bappi Lahiri.

Kamjaraf (Singer: Shehla Burney, Shabaab Sabri)
Rating: 3/10
Kamjaraf is a unique word referring to love, ishq etc. Here, Shehla Burney teams up with co-singer Shabaab Subri to lend their voices to a poorly written and equal bad musical arrangement in Kamjaraf. The track boasts of a sufiyana flavour to it with the backdrop of ‘dichak’ beats. Forgettable number, to say the least.

Laaj Sharam (Singer: Shehla Burney)
Rating: 3.5/10
With Laaj Sharam, it looks like Shehla Burney has decided to ‘try try try till you succeed’. But yes, she sounds better this time compared to her previous songs. The song can easily be ignored for its music and lyrics as it sounds repeated and out of place in the soundtrack. Of course, you can use it as a lullaby.

Lawani (Singer: Sonu Kakkar)
Rating: 4/10
Here comes a Marathi item number which certainly goes with the narration of the film as it is based on the journey from Bombay to Goa. The local flavour is evidently composed to lure the front benchers. Sonu Kakkar of Babuji fame croons in her usual high pitch in ‘Lawani’. Overall, a decent hear for the masses, especially in the northern region of the country.

Lets Enjoy (Singer: Zubeen)
Rating: 3/10
Zubeen disappoints big time in his only song of the soundtrack. Titled as Lets Enjoy, there is hardly any punch in Zubeen’s voice. There is an attempt to make this track sound different by infusing English lyrics, but it fails to create any magic.

Kamjaraf (Singer: Shehla Burney)
I think this song has a great beat and I love the vocal effect! It is a fun song to drive to and definitely an awesome song to dance to, over which my friends and I can all certainly acquiesce. So far, everyone I have come across really enjoys this number. Check it out on some good speakers and you would agree.
