Movie Review: Kal Kissne Dekha
Producer: Vashu Bhagnani
Director: Vivek Sharma
Cast: Jackky Bhagnani , Vaishali Desai, Rishi Kapoor, Rahul Dev, Archana Puran Singh, Rachna Shah and Satish Shah
Vashu Bhagnani’s Kal Kissne Dekha, which was in news since the outset, finally hits the screens. Introducing Vashu’s son Jackky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai, the film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Rahul Dev, Archana Puran Singh, Rachna Shah and Satish Shah.
Nihal Singh (Jackky) is from Chandigarh, who comes to Mumbai to get the higher studies. The college, where he is enrolled, is like a typical filmy college, where the seniors (Akshay Kapoor and others) rag him. Meesha (Vaishali) is the one girl, Nihal loses his heart to. This is the love at first sight. She is from the affluent family and always finds resaons to insult him. But once he saves her from the bomb blast, she falls in love with him. Jackky has a special quality to see the future. His doting Physics professor Verma (Rishi Kapoor) however has other sinister plans and takes advantage of Nihal’s innocence for planning out serial blasts in Mumbai.. In the hideous acts, he is also aided by Marshal (Rahul Dev). How Nihal fights with the villains is what forms the rest of the story.
The script is a big flaw of the film that is simply boring and has nothing novel to deliver. The questions arises in mind as to what was in th makers’ minds when they made this flick. Guess, they were thinking that the audience is immature that they can deliver whatever they think is the best. But why they forgot that today’s audience is intelligent and can understand what is right and what is wrong…what is good and what is foolish? The stuff is simply age old. One has been witnessing it on screen since long. The motives behind Rahul Dev’s involevment is blasts is not clear at all. One keeps thinking about it but does not find any answer.
Vivek Sharma’s direction is lackluster. Sajid-Wajid’s music is just about okay.
Jackky Bhagnani’s debut is fine. He enacts well but is defeated by the bad script and direction. Vaishali Desai too makes a good debut.. She not only looks sexy but also delivers the goods aptly on the screen. Rishi Kapoor is fantastic. Rahul Dev looks good in the part. Riteish Deshmukh’s cameo appears great. Rest of the cast is okay as well.
On the whole, Kal Kissne Dekha is a waste of time and your money too. So why not to avoid it?
