Hmmm… so all you Emraan Hashmi fans who were buzzing with delight over his latest release, Awarapan, were shocked or happily surprised? I was definitely in for a surprise when our very own serial kisser made an attempt at serious cinema … kind of!
Earlier, this not-so-cute guy bored me off his on-screen antics.
Every time I went for an Emraan starrer I knew that he would be sleeping with someone else’s wife or cheating on his own and he made sure that he plant a smacker on each one of his female co-stars. I don’t really know if they liked that part but for me that became a little too boring and monotonous.
“When Mohit Suri narrated the script of Awarapan, I heard it and there was silence. Soon Mohit said, ‘you are not kissing in this film’. I don’t see myself kissing in my forthcoming films too.”
But finally, what I can see is not only a changed hairdo but the fact that Emraan has kissed off his old predictable on-screen image for a serious career turn to cinema of more worth and meaning. Now stop yawning… at least he is trying his level best.
This Friday, the actor went through the litmus test without a single on-screen lip lock and… and …was commendable in playing a serious monogamous species. Seriously!
Well, may be he’s still under the Bhatt’s banner but this change has come as a welcome move. Right?
