The classic 1980 flick Dostana, starring legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha, might be eyed up for a 2008 sequel if rumours are to be believed.
Insiders at Dharma Productions, who produced the original, say that Karan Johar wants a sequel to the hit friendship flick… and wants both Amitabh and Shatrughan to star.
The film, which will be directed by a newbie, will focus on the twighlight years of Vijay (Bachchan) and Ravi (Sinha). The uniqueness of the film will be that Amitabh and Shatrughan will be the only two ators in the film, and the whole 2 hours will revolve around their two characters coming to terms with Ravi’s cancer scare.
Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan only recently made up after decades of disagreements and arguments.
