EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Blown up..Director Anurag Kashyap has completely blown away the film in the smoky clouds of a dreadful dream. The film talks about nothing! Absolutely nothing!! The main storyline and the narration is completely sidelined by the amount of hard work put into perfecting the colour, frame, background score and other technical aspects of the film.
The story of No Smoking has nothing to tell. It is purely blatant. Seems like the fresh air has been barred by a hermetically sealed glass.
The film talks about a smoker and his mishappenings in life in one jarred way of storytelling. The movie crashes from one corner, making it one of the most over rated films to get a plump in the recent times.
The plot of No Smoking revolves around the main hero John Abraham, who is playing the character named K. Now, K is a hard core chain smoker. He is not ready to do anything to leave his habit, ignoring the speeches of his wife Anjali (Ayesha Takia) and friend Ranvir Shorey.
One day Anjali leaves K, which pushes K to get rid of his smoky habit. He then meets Baba Bengali, Sealdahwale is a mysterious character who runs a rehabilitation hub, which help people come out of their addictions (if and only if they follow his instructions).
