Abbas-Mustan have to buy rights of the Hollywood films… Bollywood is that industry, which takes huge inspiration from the Hollywood movies. And many films are totally or you may say the ditto copy of the American films. But now the Hollywood studios have opened their eyes and are keeping an opened eye on Bollywood flicks. This our Bollywood filmmakers have known, so they have become much conscious now. Thus they have to buy the rights now or else, Hollywood studious may claim for that. The directors’ duo Abbas-Mustan are the ones, whose almost every film is inspired from Hollywood movies. Now for their upcoming film, they have bought the rights of the American flicks to make a movie on.
Their forthcoming film will be inspired from the 2003 con caper The Italian Job directed by F Gary Gray and will be a mix-and-match version of the 2003 film and the 1969 version by Peter Collinson.
They are presently dashing off the script of the film. They uttered on this matter, “Our producer has bought the rights of both versions of The Italian Job. We will pick whichever elements we like from the two films and put them together in our own way.”
Previously, they have lifted many Hollywood films like ‘Aitraaz’ was the ditto copy of ‘Disclosure’ whereas ‘Ajnabee’ was taken from ‘Consenting Adults’.
The stars, who have been taken into mind, are: Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Shahid Kapur and Neil Nitin Mukesh. - Written By: Goher Iqbal Punn
