During a match between India and Pakistan, Karan’s magic bat gets cracked and he breaks down but Varun motivates him and makes him realize his internal magic.
The green patch helps in arousing a few emotions but on the whole, the film looks completely lost and forced. Rahul Bose is not at all convincing and his scenes with Meera Vasudevan and his estranged father, played by Naseer Abdullah are disappointing to say the least.
The story is powerful but the screenplay makes it an average one. The music by the duo of Salim-Sulaiman is uninspiring. Director Kituu Salooja’s chooses a easy and risk free path of directing a film and that actually will help him from being at the receiving end of hard core criticism. Many scenes could have been made crisper.
Acting wise, child artist Zain Khan does a fantastic job in the film and takes away all the limelight in the film. Rahul Bose looks like he is on a vacation and does not show any kind of seriousness in his character.
CK2MK has less chances to make it well at the box office as the monsoons are also expected to hold back its already low collections.
