Since everybody in particular the movie buffs know that the strike between producers and the multiplexes have been going on since last month, but it has been learnt that it may go off at the meeting to be held on 5th May.
The representatives of the United Producers and Distributors Association and the National Multiplex Chains will meet on 5th May. And it is being expected that they will arrive at a consensus on revenue sharing for Hindi films.
Amidst all, some sources are of the view that both the parties will make it sure at the meeting that there would not be any further delay so that Sajid Nadiadwala’s film, ‘Kambakht Ishq’ starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor may hit the screens, which was to release by the end of May this month.
As there is a period of four weeks required for the promotion of a film. Thus if the strike ends now, then the film will be able to come out by the beginning of June.
An industry insider says and gives viewpoint, “There were no major blockbusters, mega-budget and big-star cast movies scheduled to release so far during the strike period, but now many of them are ready and waiting to be released. In such circumstances, the strike has to be called off.”
Let’s hope that the strike may go off now.
