Pradeep Singh Rawat, the actor who played the role of a fierce Punjabi in the Lagaan team says he is the man behind Ghajini’s remake as he had inspired Aamir Khan to see the Tamil film Ghajini.
“I had played the negative lead in the original film and when we were shooting the director had casually told me that he wanted to make this film in Hindi too. Once we all – the Lagaan team- were celebrating Diwali at Aamir bhai’s house when I made this proposal of the movie to Aamir.”
“At that point he asked me if I had seen it and when I told that I have acted in the film he readily agreed. So I made arrangements for him immediately by asking director to send the prints to Mumbai,” he added.
