Overseas Box Office: With no major releases, Bollywood’s position becomes weak in international markets
Talking about Film Trade:
No big releases at all in this ongoing month of April, which is undoubtedly making Bollywood’s position very weak not only in Indian but also in the international markets. Low-budgeted flicks of Hindi cinema cannot reach in international circuits. Okay, if so, they find the place there, what profit they can give rather they can make the position weak more or even will destroy Bollywood’s image because they hold no story, no screenplay, no direction, no acting, no good music and nothing of any praiseworthy element to discuss about. So it’s better to stay away from the international markets.
Non-Hindi films are making good business internationally particularly in the UK and USA. The ones like Mini Punjab, Tere Mere Ki Rishta, Jag Jeondeyan De Mele and Ayan are dominating the scene.
8 X 10 Tasveer, Aa Dekhen Zara, Aloo Chaat and Ek – The Power of One are now on the verge of their way out from the international circuits.
