Deepa Mehta signs Shriya Saran for Komagata Maru…
Deepa Mehta faced huge disappointment when her latest release, ‘Videsh’ dropped at the box office. But the brave filmmaker soon moors the belts and plans a new film titled, ‘Komagata Maru’. Deepa has signed the sexy cum dusky lass Shriya Saran in the lead role. Shriya’s recent release is ‘Ek-The Power of One’ with Bobby Deol that also faced huge failure.
Opposite her, Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play the main role. The film tells the story of a voyage of people from India to Vancover, Canada. Only two passengers are on the ship and the female passenger is Shriya Saran. The other passenger’s name has been hidden.
Deepa’s previous release, ‘Videsh’ revolved around Canada and this too will be in the locales of this country.
