This is the first time that Im writing the review of a movie and Im happy that its Salman’s film.
I just watched Jaanemann and i feel its one of the best movies that i’ve seen in recent times.It is brilliant in every aspect and i loved every bit of it.
I guess by now everybody knows about the story so i wont get into the details of it.
So here goes…
Story:A love triangle treated very differently.A novel idea brought to life by brilliant performances and a fantastic technical team.

Direction:Shirish Kunder has arrived and how!!He has handled the various roles(story,screenplay,dialogues,background score,editing and direction) deftly.He brings to the silver screen a different and innovative narrative style which is completely his own.Class is stamped on every frame.He spins a yarn which is akin to poetry in motion.Kudos to him!!

Production:Sajid Nadiadwala has left no stone unturned in churning out a top class product.Full marks to him for placing confidence on a debutant director and providing him with all the resources.

Music:Melodious score by Anu Malik.The songs sound and look even better on the big screen and they help carry forward the movie.Sau Dard and Ajnabi Shehar are the pick of the lot.The haunting tunes linger on your lips and play on your mind long after the film is over.Lyrics by Gulzar are simple yet very profound.

Cinematography:Sudeep Chatterjee breaks new grounds in terms of camera work.He creates visuals never witnessed before on Indian screen.He captures New York in a different light and the results are simply mindblowing.

Art Direction:Sabu Cyril designs magnificent sets.He uses exuberant colors keeping up with the mood of the film.

Choreography:Farah Khan has done well in Udh Jaana Bro and Kubool Kar Le.Salman’s tap dance in Kubool Kar Le makes you want to get up and do a small jiggle.

Costumes:Surily Goel does a marvelous job as far as the look of the three principal characters goes.Priety looks stunning.Akshay looks super cool and Salman looks deliciously sexy.

Performances:
Akshay:A refreshing change from the comic characters that he’s been doing of late.He’s carried off the difficult role with great elan.Its a known fact that action and comedy comes very easily to Akshay but boy can he perform an emotional role as well.He’s a complete revelation.

Preity:Very dignified acting where her eyes do most of the talking.Looks extremely beautiful and fully justifies the reasons why Salman and Akshay go bonkers over her.

A special mention of Aman Verma.He is highly comical in the few scenes that he appears in.You cant help but laugh at his expressions.

Salman:I’ve saved the best for the last.I’ve fallen in love with Salman all over again.He has proved beyond a doubt that he has what it takes to be a superstar.He is absolutely brilliant in the film!!The first half sees him as this guy with loads of attitude and charming personality.His comic timing is simply amazing and he exudes style and coolness in every frame he appears.Its in the second half that he steps on the accelerator and shows the sensitive side in him that has never been seen before.His transformation from a carefree to a helpless guy who is on the verge of losing everything shows the maturity in him as an actor.I must admit that i had tears in my eyes everytime Salman’s eyes welled up.A topnotch performance from Salman which will silence his detractors.Way to go Salman!!

I really hope and pray that the movie turns out to be a blockbuster.

What a Beautiful and Brilliant movie with no skin shows and nudeness like Don. A complete family entertainer all the way.
Go and watch this BlockBuster again n again.
