Contrary to the rumours, this is not true at all. Aishwarya Rai will not be starring in NBC sci-fi hit Heroes.
Many Indian (and even American) websites are reporting that Mrs Bachchan has been signed up for an 8 episode arc in the coming second season of this superhero television series. It has been written that she will play the elder sister of Dr. Mohinder Suresh, Shanti Suresh. And, that she is to have some super-power of her own.
But, I can confirm, that these are all rumours… Aishwarya Rai is not appearing in Heroes.

I have no idea how Heroes-TV could have made this mistake.
Their source was from this website: http://www.thisisbollywood.com/?p=4 which conveniently states their site as “This Is Bollywood An Indian Movie Spoof Site”.
When I read the news I went over to Heroes-TV.com and scroll to this so-called casting news and I saw the link to where they got their info from and so I went to the website “thisisbollywood” and I don’t know how to feel. Relieved. Sad. Anger.
I have since sent an email to Heroes-TV and they have taken down their “news”.
I just want to thank you for your confirmation. I love the show and I’m just upset that some people are spreading this false casting info.
Well I think the story was written in such a way that it was actually believable. It fooled many people. Now what would really amaze me… is if NBC actually took note of the rumours and signed up Aishwarya Rai – its actually a very good casting. – Tony

i don’t think ash should be in heroes she’s not that type. she needs to be in a role where she’s comfortable. we don’t want fukin hollywood shows to sky rocket cmon we need indian tv series to sky rocket. ash belongs in a cultural setting.not hollywood. but we shouldn’t worry because we don’t get the fukin money and fame anyway someone else does.

I’m so glad she’s not in it. She’s a terrible actress, a snobby personality as seen in Letterman, and I would have had to stop watching Heroes. I would not want her representing Indian actors in this country, it’s enough that the drooling masses worship her in India.
